Help! KRAMFORS Sofa

Chiara from New York send us an email asking for our help since we might know the answer to her problem. Here is what she wrote:

I have a burning question that so far the internet has given me mixed reviews – was wondering if maybe you or other readers might know the answer to it!

I have a Kramfors leather couch that I bought in 2005. I’m moving at the end of this month and would LOVE to take it with me, but the wear on the leather is pretty bad :/ I know that the Kramfors covers are made just for the cloth version of the couch, but I’m wondering if it’s possible to use them to cover the leather ones!

I’ve written to Ikea and one other company that makes custom covers for the Kramfors line and both returned with a “no”. However, upon searching around the web, I found a couple of people who said it was difficult but they were able to pull it off!

Any thoughts?

Since I don’t own a KRAMFORS Sofa I can only assume.

Normally leather sofas are stapled to the frame so the leather won’t wrinkle or move from its place. I’m sure you can pull it off, but don’t think it’s the best option. Fabric sofas use velcro.

I think you can use a cover directly on a leather sofa but may have to improvise so it doesn’t look loose below. What do you think? What would you do?

We need your help again! Our last, and first, Help! Post has been a success, Sarah got what she needed and people started to comment again

If you take a look to the last Help! Post you can read in the Comments section that johnny and Alan also need more laminate floor. This time it is Hemse Beeck Laminate Floor, so if anyone has some extra at home, please leave a comment and I will put you in contact with them.

Our reader Sarah is asking for your help. She used the Ikea Hemse Oak Laminate Floor for her entire house a few years ago but recently her kitchen flooded, ruining the flooring in the hallway…

Ikea no longer makes this floor, so if someone has 3 extra boxes to sell, please leave a comment and I will put you in contact with Sarah.

PROBLEM SOLVED I’m glad to announce that Sarah has solved her problem and can redo her hallway. Thanks for your help!
