While I was searching for the ANEBODA Wardrobe in Grey’s Anatomy I saw this photo. At first I just thought “I have seen those chart holders before” and then it got to me… those are SPONTAN Magazine Racks from Ikea.

I really didn’t notice anything while watching the series, because it just looks like a right and professional way to hold the charts. Did you notice them?
Las summer Ikea Canada held their Any Space Can Be Beautiful contest where people send in photos of their boring, unlovely spaces to get a $15,000 Ikea makeover from Karen Sealy of Sealy Design Inc. and guest designer at CityTV’s CityLine.
Here are the before photos of Tess’ living room, who won the grand price:

And here are the lovely after photos, with a cohesive color scheme and lots of nice greenery (you can check the makeover product list here):

The ALEX Drawer Unit is now also available in black for the same price. As you may already know, the drawers can hold a A2 size paper and includes casters.
I really like the black on the drawer, it makes it more chic*
Great for any office or craft room!
At the beginning of Grey’s Anatomy I used to see the ANEBODA Wardrobe in any hospital room, and if you don’t believe me, here is the proof.

It seems they removed them because I don’t see them anymore… And wait, is that a MALM Drawer Chest on the back? What do you think?
If I am not wrong, the POÄNG Chair is one of Ikea’s classic. I has been in every catalog I can remember and is one of the most comfortable chairs they have. You may think that this chair not that stylish, still you can put it any room and create a unique atmosphere.

At the moment the POÄNG Collection has a great selection of frames and fabrics to choose from. You can also choose between the classic chair, the rocking chair and the swivel chair. And don’t forget that there is a footstool available to increase your comfort.

This year novelty is the POÄNG Chaise Lounge, only available in birch veneer with a branch motif cover, but you can buy an extra lounger cushion cover in brown, green or white.

Price chair: from $89.00 to $269.00 depending on the base, frame and cover.
Price footstool: from $99.00 to $109.00 depending frame and cover.
Price chaise lounge: $199.00 / Extra cover: from $69.00 to $119.00

This month Ikea is launching CHARLOTTA, a collection of fabrics designed by Swedish comic artist and illustrator Åsa Ekström, whose area of expertise would be manga. Japan meets Scandinavia!
There are five unique fabrics available. Which one do you prefer?

CHARLOTTA BLOCK inspired in her love of Tokyo, CHARLOTTA HIMMEL inspired in Japanese woodcuts called ukiyo-e, meaning “pictures of a floating world”, CHARLOTTA MÄRKE inspired in Japanese tattoos with Scandinavian motifs, CHARLOTTA VILD inspired in origami, the Japanese paper art or CHARLOTTA TECKNING inspired in comics, with Godzilla included?
Find more about the collection here.
It seems that there are a lot of readers who need extra laminate floor Ikea decided to stop producing and also a lot of readers who have some extra boxes left at home.

Merry Preparations! I know it’s a bit early, still two months to go, but Ikea wants you to skip the holiday rush and prepare you home for christmas.
Check out the Christmas Collection!

The world’s most versatile bookcase turns 30! And to celebrate, Ikea is taking a closer look at the world of BILLY.
The BILLY Book is a special birthday edition that takes you behind the story of BILLY. An entertaining journey through some of the world events from the past 30 years.

The BILLY Limited Edition Collection includes new bookcases and doors printed with graffiti-style words, and some other great products like the original “B” bookend.

I personally think that the BILLY Book is going to be one of the most wanted items form the BILLY Collection. And what better place to store The Book than in one of BILLY’s Limited Edition Bookcase.
This is one of our own Ikea Hack. We bought a BESTA TV Unit to integrate the tv with the rest of the living room (we already owned some BESTA Units for main storage).

The problems began with the assembly, we even had to make our own holes to be able to place one of the lower shelves. And the back panel, made out of two horizontal pieces, didn’t fit right. It looked like one panel was to short from the right and other one to short from the left, and above all that you could totally see where they join. Really ugly!
We could have changed it for a new one, but the nearest Ikea is about 300 km, so the only solution was to hide it with wallpaper. We are really happy with the result, it makes our Ikea unit unique.
P.S.: I noticed that the BESTA TV Unit we bought is no longer available, but you can take a look at the rest of the BESTA Storage System.
