The Ikea Blog

This is one of our own Ikea Hack. We bought a BESTA TV Unit to integrate the tv with the rest of the living room (we already owned some BESTA Units for main storage).

The problems began with the assembly, we even had to make our own holes to be able to place one of the lower shelves. And the back panel, made out of two horizontal pieces, didn’t fit right. It looked like one panel was to short from the right and other one to short from the left, and above all that you could totally see where they join. Really ugly!

We could have changed it for a new one, but the nearest Ikea is about 300 km, so the only solution was to hide it with wallpaper. We are really happy with the result, it makes our Ikea unit unique.
