I bought the desk and the shelf and when I went to put the desk on the clamps are not thick enough to go over the thicker wood frame of the shelf! I'm so upset. I didn't read anything that said it would ONLY clamp to an inner shelf. Any ideas how to work around this? I can't go bigger with the shelving I can only fit the 31 x 31 due to things already on the wall above this height. HELP. How do you mount the desk to the 31×31 Expedit? I do love the look of the combo but am also upset that the material scratches to easily and like Michael, wiped off the dust after putting it together and some of the finish rubbed off. After spending an hour putting it all together I'm wondering if it's worth it to take apart and return. I guess you get what you pay! just bought the expedit desk/book shelf combo too .
