Bought the desk and 2x4 bookshelf, and I loved it! At first that is....
Went back to buy the proper size bins for the bottom 4 shleves. but after putting everything in, I saw that the bins do NOT fit in the third row due to the thick desk taking up the space. The bins do not fit at all!!!! >:(

Can you mount 2 desks to 1 bookshelf? I have the 4x2 bookshelf right now with one desk mounted to it. I was wondering if I bought another desk, could I attach it to the other side of the bookshelf. So the bookshelf would be between with desks connecting to both sides for a workstation.

@Wondering: Unfortunately, you'll have to cut into one of your pieces -- either the desk or the cube -- just enough so that the shorter side of the clamp fits. There may be other alternatives, but this is the one I used.

How do you mount the desk to the 31x31 Expedit? I bought the desk and the shelf and when I went to put the desk on the clamps are not thick enough to go over the thicker wood frame of the shelf! I'm so upset. I didn't read anything that said it would ONLY clamp to an inner shelf.

Any ideas how to work around this? I can't go bigger with the shelving I can only fit the 31 x 31 due to things already on the wall above this height.
HELP.

just bought the expedit desk/book shelf combo too . I do love the look of the combo but am also upset that the material scratches to easily and like Michael, wiped off the dust after putting it together and some of the finish rubbed off. After spending an hour putting it all together I'm wondering if it's worth it to take apart and return. I guess you get what you pay!

Does anybody know if a keyboard shelf can be mounted under the desk. Typing for a while can be a bit of a strain on the wrists. I know the desk is mostly hollow, wondering what type of anchors if any can/should be used for the underside to mount keyboard shelf.

Does anyone know if it matters what year the bookshelf has to be bought in for the desk to fit. Because I noticed that the old bookshelves are made of thinner wood.
