Last time I went to Ikea, I got fascinated by the KULLA table lamp. The built-in touch dimmer is a great system that allows you to regulate the light intensity just touching the little stick.

This lamp has a great design, we have two of them and love them but do not buy this item as the dimmer system is Chinese rubbish and we already got 2 new lamps and they both broke down too.. so 3 broken Kulla’s in 10 months we have them..
I bought the floor lamp version and the touch dimmer just become touch insensitive in less than a year! Swedish rubbish!
I so agreed with versze – my floor lamp version has a life of it’s own – it turns on and went through the different dimmer function and now barely a year – spoilt! It’s a white elephant sitting in a corner. For $50, i am getting no lights from it – just ornamental! TRASH!
There is a lamp from Artemide that has a touch dimmer and also gets “crazy”. It seems that you have to maintain your fingers on the dimmer and wait a few seconds (so it turns on and off several times). After this, the lamp is good as new.
