I love this chair. I tried it and it is comfortable a very modern and very easy to keep clean… at least it looks like it.
You don’t get more minimalist than a clear chair and chrome.
I’ve just assembled these for my kitchen and want to share a trick: if you’re having trouble getting that last bolt to line up so you can screw it in, it’s because they actually need to be done in order. Screw in the two in front first, and the back two last. You may need to sit in the chair while screwing in the 4th bolt. I hope this saves someone a couple of hours of their time!
Love the chair I just purchased two from the thrift in mint condition for$12 a piece
I can’t find any store (in the US) on the website that has these in stock. Any one know if I can still buy these?
Cindy, I also have been looking for the tobias chair in the US and it’s been out of stock for over a month. I e mailed ikea and they said that they don’t know when it’s going to come back into stores. I’m still waiting for them, so I hope they come back soon!
Ikea did say that they will be back, so it’s just a matter of waiting!
I actually called Ikea and although they were not expecting any shipments to my nearest Ikea store, and said that they would NOT be in the next catalog, I was able to order them by phone (but not online). There was a delivery fee, of course, but I’m just happy to have them! They arrived within just a few days and I LOVE THEM!! So try calling Ikea..
